Mapping social orientation in Bulgaria

Apart from providing information to asylum seekers about their rights and obligations within the international protection application procedure, Bulgaria offers no obligatory social orientation courses or modules to non-nationals. Contributions are scattered among various guides rather directed towards integration professionals and municipal officers, as well as among regular and ad hoc sessions by the State Agency for Refugees, UNHCR and service provider NGOs. The present report offers an overview of those continuous or sporadic initiatives and gives recommendations about non-nationals’ unmet training needs.
